Blue Lotus
CollectionShot during a winter day in Topanga, California in January 2022, "Blue Lotus" is the third collection from the collaboration between Ryan Frame and Samantha Rose. These images represent a sense of self-reflection while lying in a bathtub. The color palette of blues, purples, and pinks impart a nostalgicically toned atmosphere. Blue Lotus flowers are present in the water; it is said that drinking its tea grants one mystical qualities.

Chameleon
CollectionThe "Chameleon" series is an anthology in which I work with various wallpapers and backgrounds to create the illusion of the subject blending in with their environment. The images explore the ways in which the human form can be integrated into and influenced by its surroundings, highlighting the relationship between the body and the environment. Through the use of different backdrops, the series aims to showcase the versatility and expressive potential of this technique.

Starlet
CollectionThis series, titled "Starlet," tells the story of a performer in the roaring twenties who becomes obsessed with what her audience thinks of her. As she loses sense of her own self and disappears into the abyss of the stage, the series explores themes of self-identity and the destructive power of seeking approval from others. The images capture the intensity and emotion of this time period, highlighting the consequences of sacrificing oneself for the sake of performance.

Fractured Memory
CollectionThis series, shot in Venice, California in June 2020 with Brazilian model Giulia Seabra, was an experiment on the absorbent nature of mosaic. The images explore the way in which mosaic tiles and patterns can absorb and reflect light, creating unique visual effects. By experimenting with this medium, the series aims to highlight the versatility and expressive potential of mosaic as an artistic material.

Dune
CollectionThis series, the sixth collaboration with Samantha Rose, was created by ideating and painting her body against the backdrop of sand dunes. The colors and patterns were inspired by the science fiction film "DUNE," and the series explores the idea of extraterrestrial beings by bringing them to earth and juxtaposing them against natural environments.

Point Dume
CollectionIn this series, the fifth collaboration with Samantha Rose, I used the natural lines and colors found in the sedimentary rocks on California coastal cliffs to create an optical illusion around the lines of a human body. By working with these natural elements, the series aims to explore the relationship between the human form and the environment, highlighting the ways in which the body can be integrated into and influenced by its surroundings.

De Kelders
CollectionCaptured near Gansbaai, South Africa in February 2016, "De Kelders" is a series that celebrates the majesty of African wildlife and the beauty of its women. The series was shot at the De Kelders caves, which were once inhabited by the native San people, one of the oldest tribes in the world. The images highlight the connection between the natural world and the human form, drawing attention to the beauty and strength of both.

CollectionGreen women are a recurring projection of my subconscious mind and this series is an anthology of the visions I have seen in my dreams. These images represent a personal exploration of the inner workings of my mind and the symbols and themes that appear in my subconscious. By sharing these dreamlike scenes, I invite the viewer to consider the ways in which their own subconscious mind shapes their experiences and understanding of the world.
